Let’s have a detailed comparison of Atom vs Brackets to find out which one is better. A Quick Comparison Between Atom and Brackets There is no need for cooling water pumps – one less thing to go wrong. Pod motors are mounted in the water and cooled directly by the water flowing past them. They give unlimited flexibility about where to place the motor(s) and they free up lots of space and layout options inside the boat. There’s no need for big holes and rubber seals, our electric Pod motors are so smooth-running that they can attach straight to the hull. You can fit a pod motor to almost any boat in minutes. These products help boaters manage and maintain diesel and gasoline engines. Not got an engine or propeller shaft at all? Simply drill a small hole for the power cable and bolt one of our Pod motors directly to the bottom of your hull. Strategic boaters can increase speeds by tweaking the hardware.Ĭommercial-grade heat exchangers and cooling products are available casual vessels and sports vessels. The main hardware performs efficiently in racing locations that have rough conditions.A turbo engine can be beneficial during a race because: Turbo products are built with powerful hardware that gives a boater quick shifting and advanced horsepower. Marine diesel engines with turbo components are also available. These motors are usually designed with 7.3-liter hardware and are suitable for long boat trips. Long block engines are available for vessels that require a lot of fuel. All engine companies use commercial-grade paints to coat the housing on various products, so each layer wont chip when water splashes on the material. Units that are painted have a bold design scheme with a color that matches a boat, such as green or yellow. The color of the material will vary because some designers paint the housing to make each engine appealing. When most manufacturers build marine diesel engines, they use a standard steel or aluminum material. What are the design options for marine diesel engines? Most traditional marine diesel motors have cooling hardware that uses water to maintain efficient temperatures. Because various products have different horsepower specs, Yanmar and many other manufacturers use certain technologies to regulate and manage temperatures throughout driving situations on the water. What are the design specs for a general marine motor?Ī general engine is built with four-stroke mechanical hardware. Depending on the motor brand, other features may also be included, such as a control panel and a harness. Rugged material is also used on the propeller housing, which is mounted near the shaft. The shaft is typically constructed out of a commercial-grade metal, so harsh environmental elements in ocean zones wont rust the surfaces. Whats included with a typical inboard marine engine?Ī general marine motor is built with a shaft and a durable propeller. This motor option will provide enough power, speed, and torque for general boating situations. If you need an engine thats somewhat powerful, a unit that has a 100-200 horsepower range is worth considering. You can equip any of the products on a vessel thats used during casual trips or fishing routines. Motors that have a 10 to 49 horsepower range are ideal for casual boating adventures. These products quickly distribute power to the propeller so that sports vessels can power through rough environments. What are the horsepower options?Įngines that are designed with hardware that reaches over 200 horsepower are built for race vessels. Inboard diesel products are available for modern and vintage vessels. These units give a typical boat enhanced horsepower and increased torque because they rely on diesel. Complete diesel engines are designed by Volvo Penta, Yanmar Perkins, Caterpillar, and many other brands. Installation is NOT included in the price of this material. This year marks the 40th anniversary of Diptyque's first fragrance, L'Eau, originally introduced in 1968.We partner with top carriers like Royal Mail, Spring Global, DPD, and FedEx for international parcel shipping. To celebrate, the line has launched a trio of unisex colognes: L'Eau de L'Eau, L'Eau des Hesperides and L'Eau de Neroli. All three were developed by perfumer Olivier Pescheux. L’Eau de L’Eau pays homage to L'Eau (go ahead, translate that in your head), which was said, in turn, to have been based on a 16th century potpourri recipe. I haven't tried L'Eau in some years my testing notes, probably written in late 2003 or early 2004, say "it is warm and spicy but sheer at the same time: an almost aqueous feeling: potpourri under water. Very nice, would absolutely never wear it." My tastes have expanded pretty dramatically since then, so perhaps L'Eau would be more to my liking now, who knows? I like L'Eau de L'Eau just fine. It too could qualify as potpourri under water after a nice burst of citrus, it's likewise warm and spicy but sheer at the same time. As Marina has already pointed out on Perfume Smellin' Things, it gets darker the longer it is on skin, and while it never gets heavy (if memory serves, it is much lighter on the cinnamon and clove than the original L'Eau), I'm not sure but that it might wear better in spring and fall than in high summer. Very nicely done, and the lasting power is excellent. The notes for L'Eau de L'Eau: clove, cinnamon, ginger, pink peppercorns, geranium, lavender, orange blossom, Benzoin balm, tonka bean and patchouli. L’Eau des Hesperides starts with a wonderful burst of dry orange (the notes: bitter orange, mandarin, lemon, petitgrain, red thyme, rosemary, mint, cedar, white musk). As it develops, the orange is joined by a generous handful of chopped herbs. This could be the lighter, fresher (and drier) homage to Diptyque Oyédo, and on a spring day like today, I can't imagine why I'd want such a thing, but I've only to read my own review of Oyédo to remember that in the heat of summer, Oyédo's fizzy sweetness can be a bit much. L’Eau des Hesperides does have a nice bite, and is very much worth a try, especially if you found Oyédo more than you were willing to take on even in cooler weather. L’Eau de Neroli is the "classic cologne" entry in the trio (notes: bergamot, petitgrain, verbena, tarragon, neroli, orange blossom, geranium, beeswax, white musk and cedar). It is a sunny and cheerful citrus, very bright, very wearable, with first the tarragon, and later the beeswax, adding some interest. If I can't think of much to say about it, it is only because a sunny and cheerful citrus is not so very hard to find, but if you're in the market for a summer cologne, this one is worth a shot. I wasn't particularly excited when I first heard about this trio, but they've done a lovely job, and the packaging, as always with Diptyque, is superb.įor my money, I like a hefty dose of oakmoss in my summer cologne so I'll stick with my Eau de Guerlain until they get around to de-oakmoss-ing it, assuming they haven't already done so. I wish they'd done a little coffret like this one, but ah well. I'd also be happier if I hadn't recently heard the rumors that Diptyque is axing a rather substantial proportion of their more interesting fragrances (reportedly L'Eau Trois, Virgilio, L’Autre, Eau d’Elide, and Opôné are all goners) - if it turns out to be true, then somehow this trio doesn't seem to have enough "weight" to make up for the loss.ĭiptyque L'Eau de L'Eau, L'Eau des Hesperides & L'Eau de Neroli are available in 200 ml Eau de Cologne, packaged in splash bottles with optional pump spray $150 each. This new Check command now appears in the Geany menu under Build, and if you run it, pycodestyle, pyflakes and pylint are all run against your code. You are limited to 3 Python commands in Geany, but you can create bash scripts with multiple commands to get around this restriction. The contents of that file are as follows: echo "= pycodestyle =" You can see the Check command is referencing a bash script file in my home directory called check_python_code.sh. To open these settings go to Build->Set Build Commands. The Compile and Lint commands are setup by default, but I have added the Check command as follows. Below you can see 3 commands configured for Python. For exampleīut you can also integrate them into Geany. These commands can be used from a terminal to check your python files. Pyflakes checks your dependencies and import statements sudo apt install pylint Pycodestyle checks your code formatting sudo apt install pyflakes These commands will check your code style to ensure you are formatting your code properly. I also recommend installing the Python code checker and linter commands. This is all you need to start coding in Python. You're going to want to make sure you have Python installed first off. The following command invokes the aptitude installer: sudo apt-get install geany To install Geany on Linux Ubuntu you can use the Aptitude packages installer (same goes for Raspbian). I am using Ubuntu Mate, but these instructions also work on Raspbian. To put these instructions together I am using a Raspberry Pi 4 with 4 MB of RAM. How to configure Geany for Python Linux Ubuntu Install and Setup In this setup I have folder view enabled along with the editor screen split vertically to display multiple code windows. The screen shot below gives you an idea of what Geany looks like. Geany works well for Python development and in this article I go through installing, configuring and using Geany for Python development. On Ubuntu it take about ~1second to load and runs in about 60Mb of memory. Geany is a lean little text editor that runs on Windows, Mac and Linux. Hitachi’s pinner has three solid features going for it that attracted my attention right away: first, when I picked the tool up, its overmolded rubber grip fit all four of my fingers without also brushing the safety trigger. Hitachi NP35AĪccessories: Case, oil, safety glasses, air fitting This gun requires occasional light oiling to lubricate the internal parts, and Cadex stamps an “Oil” indicator into the tool near the hose fitting - it’s a helpful reminder.įor $100, I wish the Cadex came with more extras than it does: you get a bottle of oil and a cardboard storage box. The CP23.30 blows exhaust air forward, which could be annoying if you’re nailing into a corner, but it was a nonissue for flat-board work. Cadex opts for a tab-style safety instead of a second trigger: when it’s swiveled clear, the trigger is “live.”Ĭadex’s steel tip is more rounded than that of the Bostitch gun, and that helped reduce the incidence of denting on pine. This mid-sized, rugged gun will hold two 100-nail clips in its magazine for extended use, unlike some others that are limited to one clip at a time. Two-trigger styles on other nailers are a safer setup. Once it’s flipped clear, every trigger squeeze fires the gun. The safety here amounts to a steel tab that pivots out of the way to free the trigger. Cadex CP23.30Ĭompared with Bostitch’s pinner, the Cadex CP23.30 offers a roomier grip but instead, only one trigger. It’s priced at the top end for this group at $119, but it includes a 7-year limited warranty. The gun has a solid feel to it, and Bostitch provides many extras, including a hard case, 1,500 nails, oil and an air fitting dust cap. A shorter safety trigger or a longer grip would make this a much safer tool to grasp. My nat- ural inclination when picking up a nail gun is to grab it with three or four fingers that deactivates the safety on the HP118K whether you’re ready to fire or not. On this Bostitch, there’s barely enough grip space behind the safety for two fingers. Squeezing it readies the primary trigger for use. Pin nailers typically have two triggers: the rear is a safety to prevent accidental firing. Bostitch’s steel nailing tip makes it easy to place pins precisely, but it also left dents in the wood. There’s an adjustable high/low pressure switch above the trigger, but flipping it to the “low” setting didn’t help. The nailer has a pointed steel tip that makes it easy to locate fasteners exactly where you want them, but at 90 psi, it left pock marks on both pine and maple around the nails. So, my sentiments are largely the same after trying it out again. Aside from the tool now having an adjustable belt clip, it is otherwise unchanged. Seven years ago, I tested this Bostitch pinner in our first- ever pin nailer review, and it left me with mixed impres- sions. Nailers that shoot slight-head will also shoot headless, making them a bit more versatile than guns that only shoot headless. There are two pin nail styles: “slight-head” brads (center) offer a tad more holding power than headless pins (right). Read on to find out which gun gets top honors. Some 4,000 nails later, I’ve learned a few things about these pinners, and I’ve got a favorite here. So, I drove another 100 pins per gun into soft, quarter-round pine to test for nailing finesse. While it’s a tough challenge, all eight tools did the job without a single jam.īut brawn is not where a pin nailer will earn its stripes most of the time: you want it to nail carefully without flawing the work surface, which often happens with brad nailers. Psi and fired 400 nails per gun (either 13⁄16″ or 13⁄8″ long, depending on the tool) into 8/4 maple. To test their mettle, I set my compressor to 90 Pin nailers should be capable of driving the longest nails their magazines will hold into hardwood. You can spend more for premium models or as little as $30 for “bargain” brands with a 1″ nail length limit, but I think this group of eight is probably your wisest value for all-around use. And, while the market is full of options, I chose a test group that I thought would meet our occasional needs best: nailers that can drive fasteners long enough to hold 1/2″ or 3/4″ stock securely while being affordably priced at around $100 or less. So it’s handy, but you probably won’t need a pinner for every project. You can use it for attaching glass re- tainers to cabinet doors, cross pinning dowels or tacking trim to projects and cabinetry to hold it securely while the glue sets. It can drive stickpin-thin headless or slight-head brads into delicate moldings and hardly leave a mark. While an 18-gauge brad nailer can tackle most of the pneumatic nailing needs for woodworking, a 23-gauge pin nailer is also a really handy tool. Knowing the terminal velocity, the size and density of the sphere, and the density of the liquid, Stokes' law can be used to calculate the viscosity of the fluid. Electronic sensing can be used for opaque fluids. If correctly selected, it reaches terminal velocity, which can be measured by the time it takes to pass two marks on the tube. A sphere of known size and density is allowed to descend through the liquid. Stokes' law is the basis of the falling-sphere viscometer, in which the fluid is stationary in a vertical glass tube. Otherwise the change in driving head, which in turn changes the shear rate, will produce a different viscosity for the two bulbs. The use of two timings in one viscometer in a single run is only possible if the sample being measured has Newtonian properties. This also allows the viscometer to have more than 1 set of marks to allow for an immediate timing of the time it takes to reach the 3rd mark, therefore yielding 2 timings and allowing subsequent calculation of determinability to ensure accurate results. Such classifications exist so that the level can be determined even when opaque or staining liquids are measured, otherwise the liquid will cover the markings and make it impossible to gauge the time the level passes the mark. Reverse-flow viscometers have the reservoir above the markings, and direct-flow are those with the reservoir below the markings. Such viscometers can be classified as direct-flow or reverse-flow. By multiplying the time taken by the factor of the viscometer, the kinematic viscosity is obtained. The time required for the test liquid to flow through a capillary of a known diameter of a certain factor between two marked points is measured. Most commercial units are provided with a conversion factor. The calibration can be done using a fluid of known properties. The time taken for the level of the liquid to pass between these marks is proportional to the kinematic viscosity. Two marks (one above and one below the upper bulb) indicate a known volume. In use, liquid is drawn into the upper bulb by suction, then allowed to flow down through the capillary into the lower bulb. Above there is a bulb, with it is another bulb lower down on the other arm. In one arm of the U is a vertical section of precise narrow bore (the capillary). Another version is the Ubbelohde viscometer, which consists of a U-shaped glass tube held vertically in a controlled temperature bath. These devices are also known as glass capillary viscometers or Ostwald viscometers, named after Wilhelm Ostwald. Ostwald viscometers measure the viscosity of a fluid with a known density. Standard laboratory viscometers for liquids These values are used for calibrating certain types of viscometers. s and its kinematic viscosity (product of flow time × factor) is 1.0022 mm 2/s.The flow conditions must have a sufficiently small value of Reynolds number for there to be laminar flow.Īt 20 ☌, the dynamic viscosity (kinematic viscosity × density) of water is 1.0038 mPa The drag caused by relative motion of the fluid and a surface is a measure of the viscosity. In general, either the fluid remains stationary and an object moves through it, or the object is stationary and the fluid moves past it. Viscometers can measure only constant viscosity, that is, viscosity that does not change with flow conditions. Thus, a rheometer can be considered as a special type of viscometer. For liquids with viscosities which vary with flow conditions, an instrument called a rheometer is used. Scientific instrument used to measure viscosityĪ viscometer (also called viscosimeter) is an instrument used to measure the viscosity of a fluid. I really want this program back, but I’m not sure where to start.Download videos from YouTube and other 10,000+ sites including Facebook, Vimeo, Vevo, Dailymotion, and more. In fact, I checked multiple reviews/articles on Google, and all of them clearly indicate that the program is 100% virus free, so that can’t be it. This is very strange to me because iTube Studio doesn’t have any viruses. But about a month ago I logged in and noticed the program was no longer there, and when I tried to re-download it in Edge it said it couldn’t because it detected a virus. iTube Studio was very reliable and easy-to-use for me, and I was quite satisfied with it. A lot of these tracks have no chance in hell of ever making their way onto iTunes/Apple Music, and free YouTube-to-MP3 websites no longer cut it for me. And the reason why I wanted it is because there are some obscure songs/albums I really like that I wanna sync to my Apple Music library.
If the ring of light, when projected on the cornea, is spherical, the corneal transplant is spherical. A qualitative keratometer which projects either a ring of light or a ring of dots is utilized to assist in achieving a spherical cornea. Without consideration of suture tension and the control of astigmatism, the patient may achieve a clear graft but no functional vision. After the donor has been transferred to the patient and secured with a continuous running 10-0 monofilament nylon suture, a critical adjustment of this suture is undertaken. The sighting mechanism for trephining the patient's cornea allows a "bulls-eye" of the center marking on the cornea. Both components of the Hanna Trephine System (patient and donor trephination) use a special, finely finished circular blade. In addition, the suction unit is used to trepine the donor tissue as well. Trephining the patient's cornea is facilitated with the use of a continuous, automated suctioning unit which aids in generating a uniform circular incision. The diameter is determined by the size of the patient's cornea. The Hanna Trephine System is designed to remove a circular disc of diseased cornea, with a specified diameter, from the patient. Once this is accomplished, the Hanna Trephine System can be used. Using instrumentation similar to that shown below, it is possible to accurately mark the center of the cornea. This starts with defining the geometric center of the cornea. Meticulous attention to detail is required for successful corneal transplant surgery. In some cases, a new sutureless transplant procedure called DSEK may be employed to achieve a more rapid visual recovery. The suture is removed approximately one year after surgery. The post-operative appearance of corneal transplant surgery is shown below. The donated corneal tissue is transferred to the patient as indicated below and then sutured in place using 10-0 nylon (a gauge thinner than a human hair. The donated cornea is processed by the Eye Bank and placed in an enriched liquid medium that allows the tissue to remain viable for approximately one week prior to surgery (although most patients receive their cornea within 2 to 3 days from the time of death of the donor). The corneas are obtained from deceased individuals who have either willed this tissue to the Eye Bank or have had their next of kin request a donation. We prefer to schedule the patient far enough in advance to achieve the highest priority for corneal tissue on the day of surgery. The demand for corneas is so great that a patient may have to wait approximately four to eight weeks before tissue is available. The Eye Bank is responsible for coordinating the collection and distribution of donated corneal tissue. When corneal transplant surgery (otherwise known as penetrating keratoplasty) is indicated, the patient is registered with the Eye Bank. Some of the conditions that may require corneal transplant surgery include: keratoconus, corneal opacification or decompensation as a result of trauma or disease, and corneal decompensation (bullous keratopathy) as a result of previous intraocular surgery. The cornea has in effect become a “dirty window” which cannot be treated with medication and a new cornea must be provided to restore vision. However, when the transparency of the cornea is compromised by disease or trauma, light rays are no longer allowed to travel unimpeded through the eye and a distortion in the visual image results. Individuals who have an imprecise focusing mechanism, but who have a clear cornea and lens, can wear either contact lenses or glasses to direct an image crisply on the retina. The combined refractive capabilities of the cornea and the lens direct rays of light to focus sharply on the retina to produce a distinct image. Light rays passing through the cornea are refracted (or bent) by the cornea and then are refracted again as they pass through the crystalline lens on their way to the back of the eye (the retina). The cornea is the clear window to the eye. |
